Food in Moderation
**I do not guarantee the size of our piglets. PBP can get up to 250 pounds. Our PBP's weigh somewhere around 60 pounds. They are still growing. Our piglets will be neutered or go home on a spay/neuter contract. They will come with a care sheet, birth certificate (for enjoyment) starter feed and adoption contract. Any piglet adopted from us will not be sold, traded or given away. All piglets must be returned to us if you can no longer care for him/her. No money will be returned. We will offer lifetime support. - DO feed a high quality Pot Belly feed ratio.
- DO give fresh fruits and veggies
- DO make sure you PBP has fresh water at all times
- DO make sure you feed your PBP daily.
- DO ask questions if you do not know the answers
- DO Childproof your house
- DO know that you are not alone. We are here to help you!!
- DO know your city zoning
Pot Belly Pig No No’s
- Do NOT give your PBP cat or dog food.
- Do NOT give you PBP people food. Sure it’s cute but its really bad for them
- Do NOT give your PBP Chocolate it is deadly
- Do NOT feed your PBP less food in hopes to keep it small. You will literally be starving him.
- Do NOT get mad at your pig for chewing something up that you should have put away. EX. cords, shoes, toys etc
- Do NOT feed your PBP a staple diet of corn
Food in Moderation
- Fruits: High in calories from fructose.
- Corn: High in sugar from fructose.
- Potatoes, Yams, Sweet Potatoes: Starchy and high in calories.
- Tomatoes: Highly acidic.
- Spinach: High in sodium, is okay if pig has clean water to drink.
